Will Jameer Nelson Play for the Finals?

Jameer Nelson, Orlando Magic’s point guard, has missed almost 4 months of playing this season because of a shoulder surgery done last February 19, 2009. However, the player has practiced with the team last Tuesday and he was reportedly to be in good shape. He was made to practice with the team last Tuesday and Wednesday to evaluate whether he can play on the finals or not.
Nelson was expected to be on rehabilitation for the next two months, but he has been joining the practice with the team for 2 weeks now and he joined every drill that his teammates did. Although not yet perfectly healthy, Nelson wants to play in the finals. As he said, he is known to do some amazing things.
Although Orlando Magic’s General Manager decided not to let Nelson play for the rest of this season, however, winning a championship is also important that he strongly believes Nelson can help and with this he is considering, though not fully deciding, to let Nelson play in the finals.
His teammates really wanted him to play. With Orlando’s 2-0 standing against the LA Lakers and Nelson being one of the top pointers, he would be a great help for the team to win against the Lakers. With his performance, he could actually boost the team’s performance.
Jameer Nelson really wants to play with his teammates on the NBA Finals, it would still be on the game day that officials would decide to let Nelson play but it would be a difficult decision to make. It would be a decision between health and the championships. As Jameer Nelson is one of the best players in their team and who is proven to play well against the LA Lakers, having him on court during the NBA Finals would really make it an interesting game.
